This monthly class offers a clear, supportive introduction to Buddhist meditation practice. Each session is designed for beginners and for anyone who wants to return to the foundations of practice.
What You’ll Learn
In this 90-minute class, we will cover:
How to establish a stable, sustainable meditation posture
The fundamentals of shamatha (calm-abiding) meditation
How to work skillfully with breath, attention, and distraction
Common challenges in early practice—and how to meet them with kindness
You’ll receive clear instruction, guided practice, and time for questions.

No prior experience is necessary.

Teacher
Adriana DiFazio
Adriana DiFazio (she/they) is Heart Sangha’s Executive Director and a Buddhist meditation teacher with roots in both the Nyingma and Kagyu lineages of Tibetan Buddhism. In this class, she teaches foundational Buddhist meditation practices with a focus on each student’s buddha-nature. Her classes are warm, clear, and grounded in helping students cultivate confidence in their practice.
