Kids Sangha

We are excited to offer kids sangha once/month. We will be in the building, likely around the table on the floor below where we practice. Nat will lead it.

  • We are planning to do some short meditations, read Buddhist children's books, play awareness games, and maybe do some drawing. We might walk to a local playground during the second half of our time.

  • Age is 5+. Please only drop your kids with Nat if they are comfortable hanging out with, and listening to, adults who are not their parents.

  • If you have ideas for activities, we welcome them!

  • If any parents want to volunteer to support half of kids sangha, that would be wonderful.

If you are planning to bring your kid(s), please email nathaniel@heart-sangha.org.

New Year Retreat

The New Year is an opportunity to turn inward and set your intentions for the year ahead. Heart Sangha is excited to announce that we are holding a one-day retreat, Holding Our Hearts So We Can Grow.

This is an invitation to lose our armor and find our hearts. We’ll create the conditions to start to dismantle self-loathing. We’ll practice giving ourselves loving-kindness and compassion. At the end of our day, we will widen the circle of love.

We'll hold silence so everyone can go deep. There will be time for journaling, sketching, stretching. We'll have walking meditation and mindful discussion at the end of the day so we can get to know our dharma sisters and brothers.

An Asian-American and woman-owned local business Earthside Provisions will be catering our retreat. Vegetarian lunch, snacks with gluten free options, caffeinated chai and herbal tea is all included.
